Remove the power steering belt from the power steering pump. Try to restart. Sounds like the power steering pump froze up. If the belt drives more than the power steering pump (like the alternator), you will have drained the battery and the engine will not start. replace pump, charge battery, replace belt....hopefully drive. Good luck.

Why wont my car start it died going down the road replaced starter?

If you put a volt meter on the battery and it reads 12 volts before you cranked the engine and it drops to 10 volts or less when you crank the engine, this indicates you have a bad cell in the battery and you should replace the battery because it is not holding the charge. The loud click sound coming from your starter is because you are not supplying enough voltage to energize it.

1989 toyota corolla quits when going down road but still turns over

As with any no start issue, you will need to find out if you are dealing with a no spark or no fuel problem to proceed.
Once you find that out you can either let us know or research it online.

Died and wont crank

If it died and won't crank, sounds like you lost power to something.
Does the warning lights come on when you turn the key on ?
Got headlights ?
A mechanic would check for voltage at the starter and work back from there.

Wont start... My 93 accord died several times the last time it died and hasent started since. The tach and speedo were jumping erdadically while going down road. Now every thing will work except for power...

sounds like the igntion switch has failed, not the key cylinder but the actual electrical switch, a common problem on these earlier honda's, the bit about when the windows work is the dead give away

Engine shuts off going down the road

We had a similar problem and it was the connector that connects the ignition module (bottom of coil packs to the wiring harness. The technician spread the socket connectors and it solved the issue.
