In parallel, the new L200 will offer a more powerful - and now with Direct injection and Common Rail technologies - 2.5 Diesel engine:
With 100kW / 136 ps @ 4,000 rpm, 314 Nm @ 2,000 rpm and a competitive 13.8kg/ps weight/power ratio it will offer a level of performance right at the heart of the segment.
the owners hand book will have the starting procedure but as a rule with a diesel you wait for the glow plug light to go out, depress clutch , as with all cars depressing the clutch reduces the energy required to turn engine over as the gearbox is disengaged, and start engine , there should be no need to use the accelerator to get the engine to start, hope this helps
tilt the bonnet, ask someone to sit byt the drivers seat and ask him to turn the ignition on.immediately you should listen a click on the front left side inner wing. That noise comes from the relay. also check on the cylinder head on the right side behind the cover of timing cover above the first injector there is a sensor when engine is warm or cold to allow the time of the glow plugs to work.
It is probably the Suction Control Valve (SCV), it is fitted on the back of the highpressure diesel pump. I just changed one and it works all fine. The Valve should be around 200 euros on ebay, or about 450 euros at your Maindealer. Universal diagnostics will tell you all kinds of things but not this valve. Don`t know what about the proper Mitsubishi Program. Good luck
Take it back to your garage, did you tell them about this problem when you brought it in? If you did, they should have at least diagnosed it for you and given you an estimate for trying to repair it.
how recently have you changed the fuel filters?have other people used the truck?have you tried a commercial diesel fuel additive(power service) to help eliminate the algae that can grow if unchecked, with a diesel it usually amounts to a fuel or air issue so start by checking these areas, don't forget the air filter needs changed at regular intervals and fuel filters are the last line of defense on a diesel vehicles and water and algae are the enemy. hope this helps.
i have an l200 animal, i started getting the same symptoms, bubbling noises, over heating, water being discharged into the header tank, i had a good look around the engine, there was no oil in the water or water in the oil ( signs of head gasket failure) when the radiator cap was off and i revved hard nothing happened, no dip in water levels and no splashing out. i took the water pump off and the impellor had sheered off the shaft. fitted a new pump and its been fine, maybe all these cracked cylinder heads and warped heads are to do with the engine being run with the fault not being cured.
