My 93 Nissan Quest automatic seat belt is stuck and making an annoying buzzing noise every time I open the door and start the ignition. Took it to a Nissan dealer and they said 4 parts needed to be replaced but two of the parts can't be made anymore my car is "so old". It's older than 10 years old but there is still this lifetime warranty on the seat belt that can't be fixed.

SOURCE: timing chain wear

That is correct. If your engine is whinning at about 2000 rpm's and its a high pitch whine, you need upper timing chains and chain tensioners. aka plastic gizmo as you called it. The timing chains ride off the plastic portion of the tensioner causing the noise, basically the chain is riding on steal stub from within the tensioner, that's where the noise is coming from. Waranree on this is 5years or 60000 miles which ever comes first. And the new tensioners are updated parts.

SOURCE: INJECTOR FOR A NISSAN QUEST 2001. NISSAN DEALER

the color code that they are talking about is not the injector body color it self, but a small dot of paint under the connector on top of the injector. unplug the connector from the injector and look for a small dab of paint somewhere in the area where the connector plugges in. my guess is that yours will be white.

1994 Quest driver side seat belt motor stuck halfway is there a fuse I can pull to stop the motor? It is making a grinding sound

That's the seat belt you need to be wearing in order to save your life or prevent a ticket. Replace the defective belt and belt reel. You can cut the wires but that too will put you in jail for disabling a safety device.

I have Nissan Quest SE 2004 . The back seat stuck folded in the cargo space. How can l release it?

My third row seat was stuck in a tilted back location. It would have been OK if I had the moon roof option. I took your advice; lowered it down into the well and stomped on it a few times. When I put the seat back up, it was no longer in the tilted back position. Thanks.

How can u stop the buzzing noise for the automatic seatbelt on 93 nissan quest? Is there a fuse?

No fuse, but on the side between the door the panel you can take off and just unhook the wire(s) and then put the panel bak on. The only problem is that the light will stay lit on your drivers dash board. But it ststop the noise with no effect, Take 20 minutes top to do this.

Ere is no safe way of repairing a seat belt mechanism. You'll have to replace them. If you're referring to the latch, age sure there is no dirt or debris stuck inside.

The seat belt gets stuck and makes a loud and distracting noise

The system can be operated manually by removing round cover cap on the B pillar (Just behind door). manually turn crank knob on top of motor.

There is a limit switch on the A pillar to turn off the motor for forward movement. There is a limit switch on the B pillar to shut off the motor for rearward movement.

You may need a B pillar limit switch if the belt is going all the way back but not shutting off. Unfortunately the rear limit switch is serviced with the track & motor assembly. Get a used one at car-part.com. Page with * is cheapest part.

You need to remove A pillar trim, B pillar lower trim, B pillar upper trim, and front door opening upper trim.

disconnect front limit switch
disconnect rear limit switch
disconnect motor electrical connector
remove 3 motor bolts
remove 2 limit switch bracket bolts
remove screw at A pillar near limit switch
remove 3 screws at track assy to roof.
pull back carpet & remove 4 screws at floor where you step into car.
remove track & motor assy.

Driver shoulder seat belt strap hookup is stuck and won't move.

Hondas and other cars have their seat belts guaranteed for life. Call your local Nissan repair shop and see if this is so. If so, they shouldn't charge you a dime. I bought a very old used Honda once, the seat belt broke, and I got a brand new one installed for nothing.
