2009 Pontiac Vibe - The remote will not unlock the passenger door, but will unlock all other doors. What could be the problem?

Lock/unlock motor may be failing. Remove the door panel and remove the connector from the lock motor. Check the dc voltage at the connector while pressing the lock switch. If you see battery voltage, replace the motor. If the voltage is low, inspect the wiring.

My 2009 Sebring does the same thing occasionally but only the drivers door gets stuck (dead locked - even though the locks appear to pop up).
The solution I have found once this happens is:
1) The car needs to be driven (crawl in thru the passenger door) -even just a short distance
2) Engine shut off & doors locked with remote (after you've exited from the passenger door of course)
3) Leave turned off for 10 minutes
4) Doors will now open when unlocked with the remote

Look in your manual for how to reprogram automatic door lock

there should be an info center on your car and it ask all the questions in you want the light on and how long horn or no horn valet lights or not

Have you tried replacing the battery in the key fob? That will usually make it work properly.

not...it's on the left side under the dash near the door.

maybe the ign key has been replaced, and the doors dont match? a locksmith could remove one of the locks and make you a new key.

Keep the locking remote far away from the vehicle and see if it still locks on it's own.
Also you may need a new battery in the remote or a new remote.

Sounds like someone replaced the ignition. The vibe uses one key for all locks and if you replace just one the key wont work. you might see if the dealer can get a factory replacement from the factory key code. you will need to get a new key with the factory code as well but this should solve the problem.

notorious done if before, remove the door panel. BE CAREFUL WITH BEAUTY CAPS, CAN BE EASILY BROKEN (PLASTIC) when you remove the door panel go ahead and closed the driver door and activate the door lock button. you will see the bracket is either loose or it off. it looks the a coat hanger when you stretch it out. Reconnect it and lithium grease, test it and its a wrap.
