They did come out with a fancier 3.8 but I think the belt routing is the same. This is the one for the regular 3.8 Liter riveria engine. I hope this helps and good luck.

Serpentine belt on a 3800 supercharger
there should be a decal under the hood somewhere that shows the belt routing. if its gone you can probably go to the library and find a book of your car that will show the routing and you can either draw a picture or take a photo of it.

Ask.com searching for diagram of sepertine belt for 1997 buick rivier with supercharger
You can get the diagram from most any auto parts store, or the website for Gates belts and hoses.
There should also be a sticker on the hood or radiator support that shows the diagram.

I can help, a belt diagram for a 1997 park ave, some of these cars come with a super charger, heres a diagram that list both the regular belt and then the charger belt, use what is needed, hope this helps.cfccfd3.gif
