This is your camshaft position sensor.located on cylinder head near where upper radiator hose attaches to engine......three wire connect and one ten mm bolt secures it.easy to replace.

I have a 2005 saturn relay with engine light staying on. Auto zone says it is a p0340 camshaft position sensor a circuit (bank 1 or single sensor). Where is the sensor located and is it an easy fix.

DTC P0340 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Circuit . has single sensor . This is circuit problem , testing the electrical circuit's for the sensor before replacing the sensor should be done . Do you know how to test sensor circuit's ?

Pulled a p0340 code today on my 2005 subaru legacy gt Where are my cam shaft sensors located at and are there any other problems that have shortly followed this one

P0340 is camshaft position sensor #1
before spend any $ inspect the timing belt.
lose timing belt or jump timing will treagar the cod
sensor #1 is right(passenger side)on back of the engine
valve cover.after market sensor wont work long.
buy from dealer once and save headeche.

its not a p0340 sensor, that's the trouble code. its a camshaft sensor your looking for. this code doesn't mean the sensor is bad. it could be a bad connection or a broken wire. but if your looking for it it is on the end of the head above the transmission

Crankshaft Position Sensor Error P0335 recurred after r&r

In the kit there are two sensor that look identical. The one for the crankshaft has a white paint mark on it near the bolt hole. Make sure that it is in the right location.

Hi..
the Code P0340, Camshaft Position sensor problem or Loss signal.
The Code P0341, Camshaft Position sensor Intermitent Signal.

The First step you should do is : Locate the Camsahaft sensor,
Is located On Right Front of the Engine..
It use a 3 wires Connector.
1-- Pink/Yellow
2-- Brown/Orange
3-- Dark blue/Gray.

After you found it. Inspect the Connector. If is The connector in good condition.
Replace the Camshaft Position sensor...
