  • First try to check the speedo cable if its properly connected or needs a replacement.
  • Then for the fuel gauge check the fuse if still in good shape and if the fuse is good check the fuel floater from the tank maybe it needs a replacement.

92 silverado manual trans speedo

The sensor it at the end of the transmission, last one at the drive shaft. Drivers side. It most likely is that. could be wiring also. You need a multi meter that reads hertz to see if it is the sensor.

2003 Satria, Tacho and Fuel gauge dont work . Fuel gauge comes up now & again low fuel light works. Tacho works now & again. But speedo and temp do work all the time.

It may be that the speedo and temp are mechanical, whereas the tach and fuel are electrical. Check fuse for inst. cluster for clean and tight fitment. Check electrical connection at back of inst. cluster.

Hi, i have a 2005 bmw x5 and the speedo and fuel consumption gauge are not working. all other instruments are working. thanks

could just be the sensors so check them out with a automotive meter for feed to the tank gauge and then jack car up read for a low voltage output from the speed sensor and if they have power and appear to work then its a new speedo head --- ouch--- expensive

1998 Buick Park Ave Speedometer stopped working.

Found the problem with the speedometer on my Buick. When you use the magnet to fix the gas gauge, will can and may affect your speedo. So use the magnet trick on it as well. Appears that the manufacturer didn't think about the needles being able to swing past the magnet they have set up in the gauges. Should have put a stop pin on the gauges.
