Sounds like a rack. Check for leak or poke hole in rack boot to see if its a hidden leak. Two racks available for that year.....not interchangeable. Look from underneath for label to see if you have a ZF or not. There will be a tag on the rack. Not easy to find sometimes.

Do you mean hard to steer your steering wheel?
If you have a noise when you are turning your steering wheel, you may have low power steering fluid. Add power steering fluid into your power steering fluid reservoir to the level required (check with your manual book). Make sure you get the right power steering fluid for Audi A4. Hope it will help

My 2001 audi a4 V6 start but steering hard to turn. after i change the fluid.

Changed what fluid? If you changed the Power Steering fluid you must use Mineral type fluid. Pentosin CHF 11S is required I believe for that year. If you used regular fluid get it out quick. Why did you change it to start with? Normally never changed as a maintenance item.

Audi a4 2001 19tdi, yellow brake warning light comes on and stays on , discs and pads all ok. what is the cause

Check the fluid level, and then check that all the leads, one to each brake assembly, are clean and secure at the connection. ( a favorite with garages is to not put them back as they founds them!!). Good luck

01 audi a4 alternator fuse location

For 2001 Audi A4 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram. But the alternator don't have any fuse! You can check up electrical connections. If you don't find anything wrong the alternator is out of order. Replace brushes inside, or voltage regulator (see picture below)!

I ran over a cement block in my Audi A4 and my car was leaking power steering fluid or fluid from my radiator. What could I have damaged under the front bumper?

Well, your radiator doesnt have power steering fluid in it!
if its blue or green, its probably antifreeze from a cracked radiator.
if its red, it could be TQF or what ever audi uses.
Has the steering failed?
Is it still leaking?
Either way, its the garage you need to call for a fix!
