The door panel on the inside just has snaps around the front, bottom, and back.
The handles also have to be removed.
Then the panel lifts up.

If the child lock is on, it should still open from the outside.
Try pushing in on the door as you attempt to unlatch it, to relieve any tension.

First check on drivers side for location of child lock a lot times there will be a rubber plug that allow acess to child lock with door closed

if that option fails only option is to get door panel off remove any screws that u can gain access to then pry or cut panel off either way your probably going to destroy the panel and have to replace it (should be able find one in junk yard)

1999 gmc 3500 crewcab. Power lock switch not working on driver door. Rear pasenger door will not manually unlock and cannot get window to operate

Sounds like 3 different problems. The power door lock motor may be bad. Can you hear the motor trying to work? You will need to take of the door panel to test it and look for a bad connection. With the panel off, you can check to see if the switch is sending current to the motor. As for the rear door, It sounds like the manual linkage that locks and unlocks the door has come off. Again, with the door panel off you can test the window motor by giving it 12 volts.

2003 nissan 350z. Passenger door electric locks only unlock half way. Problem is I can get door panel off being door is shut and cant open from outside/inside.....What now lol

Remove the front seat can give you access to remove the panel. But if it has screws around the outer perimeter, most likely will have to tear it out. Best to find a replacement first. Look at the drivers door, if it has screws, so does the passenger side. There are screws around the arm rest and door handle to remove, then it pops off. Again the seat has to be out of the way.

My drivers side rear door will not open from the inside or outside

I had exact problem Santa Fe 2007 2008 lock was stuck in locked position and door would not open from inside or out. All other doors would unlock with auto key remote. Carefully work the inside lock towards the open position as you lock and unlock the door with the remote. As you press unlock try to assist the lock to open. I did this a few times and the lock became free to the open position and all worked perfectly after this.

X-Type Jag 2002 off side rear passenger door will not unlock. Cant open from inside or out.

Your rear door lock lever rod seems to have come off and is therefore not releasing the lock. You will have to open the inner door opener lever and try to somehow reach the place from where our lever rod has come off, manually release it, open the door, its inner door panel and put the rod back in its proper place.

I've heard it can be done with some difficulty. You'll probably have to remove your rear seats, or at least the bottom seat portion, to get the inside panel off. Usually, the easy fix for troublesome door locks is a good cleaning, and a little light oiling. That one on the rear should be checked for operation when you get to it.

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/villagerquest/go here and read the files on this issue. You have water in the door lock actuator connector or you have a wire shorting out on the sharp inner door panel. Also, you can cut a wire that will stop this circuit from working because you don't need it anyway. In the links is the procedure.

Back door wont unlock

I have a 1999 Chrysler T&C 3.8 liter like yours and it sounds
like you are having the same the same problem I had.
Every time you hit the door unlock or lock button, it made a loud
buzz like you just missed a question on a game show. ;-)

It turned out the problem was the rear lift gate lock actuator. The part costs
about $40 from the dealer if I can recall correctly.

The repair involves: 1st removing the middle and rear seats to get
access from the inside to the rear gate
(obviously you will have to remove the seats from the side doors
since the rear gate won't open yet)

Remove the plastic inside rear gate panel and molding (phillips screws)
Once you remove the panel, you may see a way to manually
open the rear gate. As I recall, I think there was a access opening
covered from the inside with a black weather/insulation tape.
Carefully removing this out of the way gave access to a way to
manually open the gate, making the rest of the work easy.

Remove the electrical connector and the mounting bolts
to remove from the actuator. It is attached to the inside
rear gate with 2 or 3 bolts (10 mm?)

Remove the old one and replace the part, then put it all back
together, make sure you reconnect the electrical connector

Takes about an hour for the whole job (max)

Hope this helps,

Wes
