Are you getting power to coils, if not it could be the ignition switch, one major sign of a bad switch is dash lights go off. vehicle may crank but not start,no current to fuel pump, stalling, failure to start.

Check the MAP sensor. To see if this is the problem, assuming that the Jeep won't start but is turning over, unplug the MAP sensor and then plug it back in. If you can start it now, the MAP sensor needs to be replaced. The MAP sensor is located in the engine compartment, where the firewall meets the body at the top of the engine compartment, on the driver's side. Good luck. check map sensor first!

Ignition spark

You need to replace the TFI module (on outside of distributor) and the distributor pickup coil inside the distributor.

1990 buick riviera, not firing, replaced ignition coil and ignition control module, still not firing, have redone all the grounds ,now what? no fire.

Crank sensor would be next. Also if it has an ecm #1228253 replace it as they give trouble, use 16198264 or newer number.

Will not start appears that coil does not fire coil replaced

If you have no spark, chances are it's the TFI ignition module. To narrow it down, turn the key on. The check engine light should be on. Now, crank the engine for a couple seconds while watching the check engine light. If it goes out while cranking, the pickup coil is good and the signal is reaching the processor. Most likely, this means it's the ignition module.

1988 cherokee no power to coil

I'd try an ignition module based upon what you have already replaced. Depending upon which engine you have and what month it was assembled, You could have one of several ignition systems (seems like they were using up whatever was on the shelves) any diagrams are cryptic as to any relays used etc. I'd try that, then physically begin tracing the coil power back to it's source. Actually, the car is old enough that I might even consider building my own ignition system and discarding the junk they used when they built it! But, that's somewhat complicated.
