Re: How do I change the spark plugs 95 buick regal w/3.8
I have replaced the plugs in my 1995 Buick Regal's V6 engine. Use a universal joint and two extensions with the 3/8-inch ratchet and the correct spark plug socket (with a rubber ring inside to hold the plug).

The front three are easy, you will have to disconect the engine strut mount and tilt the engine forward to get at the rear three, this is all done by feel at this point
Could just use a swivel head ratchet and a spark plug socket. It's what I do it's alot easier then unbolting the motor mounts.Could just use a swivel head ratchet and a spark plug socket. It's what I do it's alot easier then unbolting the motor mounts.

Define crank ? Does the engine spin when you turn the key to the start position ? This is referred to as engine cranks . now yours won't start an run ! This is a cranks no start condition ! When it won't start an run check for spark at a coil , your vehicle has three if a V-6 . Pull both plug wires off same coil an crank engine , is there spark ? Yes - No . No spark , ignition module could be bad , crankshaft position sensor , Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .
take the cover off the top and it will be a pain in the rear, 3 up front you cannot see and 3 in the back you cannot see.....might take it to a professional, or a trusted someone
metal sheild comes of with sparkplug wire, just spin and pull should come out then remove sheild and slide on new wire and connect back to plug, its just a slide on heat sheild.good luck.
It could be neither, If your engine is getting too hot, it can be in the cooling system, like the water pump, radiator, belt and the like, or engine timing may be off, and so forth. You even may have low coolant or a head gasket problem or cracked head, depending on the diagnostics. Just changing the spark plugs by themselves will not make the engine run hot, and while you can have ign module, etc failure when the engine is at normal operating temperatures, they by themselves should not make the engine run hot. Hope this helps you, Rick
