no idea as to when the bag will be replaced --you can get that from your service dealer when you call them
as for the danger to drive until it is changed , well that depends on fortune
You have been driving for 2 years in total ignorance of a problem and could have been driving for many more years without the need to activate the bag
It will not affect the safety of the car
The only that is affected is your health in the event of an accident

only you have access to the vin number and a phone number to your local Nissan service center

Did u replace fuses/windshield wiper relay ,both relays ,should be 2 inside the engine compartments fuse box, if not that then the wiper transmission arm could be partially busted or stripped....seems like common problem on this page, maybe lookup if might be free recall replacement

to be informed of a recall you would have to be the primary owner of the vehicle with a valid address for contact.
If you have bought the vehicle 2nd hand there would have been recalls in the media informing you of the recalls .
if you were getting the services at a service dealer then they would have told you about the recall and by law should have carried them out.

Unfortunately this is a know design issue with the Astro. If you lookup recall and service information, you will find dealer notes and instructions about the issue.
