If it is the stereo asking for a code , the chevy dealership can tell you what it is if you give them your VIN #. If you have a owners manual or service manual that came with the car , check through it , people will often write the code down in their book. Most of my cars have a 4 digit code , but they are not chevy's/
You need a obd II scan tool/ code reader to read the code. local auto parts may be able to read codes for you.

look for the code in the paperwork you received when you bought the car. It should be a 5 or 6 digit code on a plastic card.
