Im having the same problem as you. First thing is, If it was a valve popping it would make the noise when started not only when in reverse. Secondly, the vehicle is starting so its not the battery, if it were clicking from the battery it would mean the van wouldnt start and it would be clicking when it tries to turn over.
run the scanner to reset the ECM and immobiliser
make sure that the cranking speed is fast
check for air in the system
check that the stop solenoid is connected
Sounds like seized cables. You can try spraying cables anywhere you can see actual cable exposed going in to brake drums ( I will assume you have rear drums) then try tapping/hitting sleeves of cables very fast all along sleeve with something like a big screwdriver handle, or a piece of wood handle to see if they will release enough to get you going. Then have them serviced, so it doesn't happen again. Please,Let me know how you make out.
After it clicks 2-6 times and then starts, does it crank really slowly or fast? If it is cranking slowly, it sounds like you're battery is weak and should be replaced. If it is cranking fast, then your starter is going bad and should be replaced.
Wow you will need to be more specific. Does your van have an engine in it? What does it sound like? Does it die real fast or never even try's to combustion stage does it have gas I would check the fuel pressure, then check your spark.... Dont know what you mean by power. What do you mean? Does it have the force within? Battery is working! does it make a clicking sound when you try and start it? or a whirling noise. When you turn the key on do you hear a buzz. Please don't post questions so vague. Hope this helps. Thanks
If its a fast clikcing noise like a machine gun, its a bad connection or a weak battery. If its just one click then nothing it can be the starter or the battery. Try to give it a jump and see if it starts. Get back to me!
OOPS dealer only ,Try opening and closing door lock three times drivers side 10 sec interval between clicks then try starting if no go then dealer only
