1994 Ford E350 fuel pump was replaced with a new one Sept.2010,it had gone 3000 miles, it quit working 12/10/2010. The repair shop replaced it free with another Ford new one. It has only been been 200 miles quit working again. The engine turns over to start but, it isn't getting any gas. Does ford make a fuel pump for this year that is any better? thanks S.J.Harbison

Fuel pumps should be good for tens of thousands of miles. Something is going on with your system and should be diagnosed
by a different sho0.

SOURCE: Jerking while driving

If you park your vehicle for a long time, you run the risk of having contaminated fuel in the tank. This happened to a car my wife purchased, and it was the last thing I found. It proved to be the problem. What you need to do is remove the fuel from the tank and then have the tank flushed. Fill it with fresh fuel and replace the fuel filter.

SOURCE: Ford Escort 1998 fuel pump not working.

good old ford lol, try looking at the crank sensor its located at the front of the engine tucked in right hand side of exhaust manifold and gearbox, two pin plug, i have also known these to have no end of faults with the fusebox.
easy to remove, and solder the connections inside they all suffer eventually, if your not to handy with cars i recommend taking to a auto electrician, easy if you know how. Good luck Davelee

SOURCE: tapping or knocking noise in 2009 f150 4.6 3v engine

Tell them you heard about a recall for the CAM PHASERS. When the noise is present and you rev the engine to 2000RPM the noise will fade away. This verifys the CAM PHASERS are acting up.

Usually the sound progresses to the DIESEL level. Further use can damage the engine. There is a service bulletin for this problem. Yours must be an early 2009, last I heard the problem was for 2004-2008 models with dual cams.

SOURCE: 03 ford expediton stalls

consider looking at the fuel pump relay. we had a similar problem where the symptoms were engine dropping to idle and you couldn't accelerate. it would return to normal when turning the engine off and back on again. we replaced the fuel pump and it seemed to work. however, the problem was only present on warm days and low fuel (1/4 tank). it turns out there was a thin crack on the contact causing intermittent failure. not cheap, but it fixed the problem.

some cars are called"throw away cars" BUT it sounds like a PCM problem. the fuel delivery quad driver has possibly gone out or the fuel pump relay. Yours is not a throw away car.

1994 Ford E350 transmission seems like it slips at 45-55 MPH.

If you went 1k miles since that same issue occurred I would look at the transmission. A faulty torque converter, clogged fuel filter, or a clogged CAT can cause a delay in the shifting but it would happen right away not 1k miles later.

Take it to a shop that specializes in diesels or fords. they will be the best qualified to help you. You did good by replacing the fuel filter, that would be one thing they would want to replace anyhow.
