I used a regular coke bottle and squashed it so one side was flat, filled it half up with brake fluid and tipped it into the resovoir. Worked great, quick, cheap and easy - no messing about with hoses and funnels. It is a poor design though!
I know it wasn't a very good engineering design, but the brake reservoir is up underneath the cowling for the windshield wipers on the drivers side. The fill cap is on top, and not easy to access. You will need a very flexible funnel (like a tranny funnel) or a small funnel you can add a piece of flexible hose to to reach the fill cap. You should never need to add brake fluid unless you have just replaced some brake pads or shoes. If the reservoir is low it would indicate your brakes are worn and need replacing soon, or there is a fluid leak in the system.

Do you mean the van is actually braking like a Starsky and Hutch move or that the warning lights indicate that they are on? If its lights then you may be low on brake fluid. Maybe a module leak

There is a special tool for that. It should be available at most auto parts stores.

Hi, first you disconnect the battery. then you need to take the belt off by the back pulley. But you don't need to take it all the way off. Just so you get the alternator belt off. I just replaced the one on my 1997. Then you have three bolts, and one small nut to remove . Then put all back together the way you took them off.
Take care
