How do i get my 2000 dogde carvan out of low gear

Low fluid or the change clutch is slipping/ not operating. Get a shop to test it. Slight chance the speed control is faulty

Highly unlikely. Car/truck manufacturers don't apply the old VW beetle philosophy that reuse is cheaper; they redesign every year. Even if it would FIT, the wiring harness is bound to be significantly different between the two model years so most things would not connect up correctly.

Yes, they will interchange, although you might run into different brake calipers, and different gear ratios. 2000 models have stiffer springs, and double piston brake calipers, but you could use your old springs to retain your old ride height, Im sure with your old parts, and newer parts, you shouldn't have any problems mix and matching what you need. Everything will bolt right up, even if you have to use your old calipers on the newer fron axle or vice versa. Im 98% sure you won't have any problems swapping in 2000 year parts to your 1997 year truck.

Could be a bad CV joint or a broken motor mount. Check each motor mount for breaks in the rubber. Check the CV axles for slop and or mud, debris on them. Also inspect the transmission mount.

Verify that your trans fluid is at the correct level. When if at all was the trans last serviced?

If fluid is low, try bringing it up to proper level with Valvoline ATF+4 fluid. You need to used either fluid from a dealer, or the valvoline brand which is approved by Dodge.

your van is going into "limp" mode,
when the computer sees a problem from the transmission it will not up shift but will remain in low gear so you can limp to a shop for repairs,
it will also clear the faulty code every time you turn the key off then back on,but if the problem shows up again it will go to limp mode,three things cause your problem,
first is a speed sensor,if your speedometer is working it is not that.
input sensor,or output sensor both are easy fixes,they just screw in to the transmission.

no diagrams avil on fixya, sorry, the blower resistor is right next to the blower motor in the air duct that cools it.
