I have a '03 Toyota Celica GT-S with a annoying mis-fire. Started small by replacing all spark plugs - nothing. Replaced the MAF sensor - nothing. Took it to a authorized toyota shop & checked compression which check out good and put the computer on. Computer read mis-fire on cylinder 1, and then multiple misfire (like it would jump around). We went ahead and replaced the fuel injector on cylnder 1 - did not solve problem as when we hook the computer up, misfire seemed tp stay at idle and seem better when running high RMP, but check engine light is on as it never went away. Went ahead and replaced the coil pack to cylinder 1 - nothing. what am i missing?

1998 Toyota Celica GT. The distributor cap popped off and broke it and rotor button. I replaced it but now it acts like it's back firing and out of time. What could be the problem?

Question edited for clarity and funky punctuation.
Question moved to model category.

When you replaced the spark plug leads, you mixed them all up. Also make sure the rotor in the distributor is properly located.

Here is your firing order. More if you click on the images tab.

Toyota Celica six 91 no spark after hesitation when accelerating over 2-3 months no died.

Check maf sensor. As a test, cable tie the connector to the MAF plug.

Check the repair manual also for instructions on troubleshooting

2003 Celica GT; LEan ccode on # 3 cylinder with occasional # 4 also. new injectors ,plugs, wires, MAF, in tank fuel pump, compression ok. Diagnostic at Dealer; bad injector/will fix for $1000.

First switch 3 and 4 injectors with 1 and 2 just to check them.Next intake gasket could be a source of extra air in 3 and 4 and also very worn valve guides.ALSO exhaust system from head to oxygen sensor cannot have the slightest leak,it will pull air into the exhaust system and the oxygen sensor will see that air.

2006 Ford Explorer P0306 code. I had all spark plugs replaced wires, water pump and radiator. small mis fire not that bad, check engine light on. what else could it be?

Run a compression test on it starting with #6 cylinder and those adjacent to it. You may have a leak in the head gasket due to the overheat.

Toyota Celica hesitates at cold start everyday

You know that you have a boost sensor I know you said MAF sensor, but some make and engine size has a boost sensor when this sensor goes you lack power as you described. so make sure this sensor vacuum hose is hooked up it also acts as a MAP sensor. give fuel when you accelerate

Heats up to normal temp injectors stop working...

Try higher octane fuel full tank with fuel cleaner/octane booster and give the car a long run with a blast.
