I have a 2007 Hyundai Azera and there is a whine coming from the transmission. The car performs fine, but the noise is annoying. Is this a serious problem?

Which one is it?... 2007? or 2009?. In either case, the problem you describe is/may be under warranty.... call your nearest Service Department (Hyundai) and ask the right questions.. .you could get this problem cured and at no cost.

I have 3 issues with my 2006 Azera. 1. When the

1. The tapping is normal for an engine with hydraulic lifters, it's perfectly normal, and I promise nothing is broken or breaking.
2. The transmission has some sort of blockage in a screen or valve body or something, it needs a reverse flush and new filter from a dealership, NOT some fly by night repair shop, and MAKE SURE the dealer will flush the transmission, NOT just drain and fill, which will not solve the sound issue.
3. The clunk is probably a failing transmission, I'm going to speculate and say the car has a fair amount of miles on it, you are not the original owner from new, and you have not personally had the transmission fluid flushed, nor have you any evidence saying the fluid was changed before you bought it.

Get the fluid in the trans back flushed, and change the filter, hopefully you'll get a few more miles out of it. Good luck.

Took car to dealership for whine in engine. when car was returned the cause was listed as a worn idle pulley and that the bearing causing the noise was replaced and replaced vehicle idler pulley assembly....

First of all, I have NO IDEA what you are relating to an idler pully!... Best SOLUTION:.. Take the vehicle back to the dealership and have them diagnose it under warranty... sould good?

I have a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 3.5L with automatic transmission. 48K miles. When I start the car after sitting over night, I hear this whirring/whining noise from the engine compartment. I goes away...

your whining noise might be comming from dry belts in order to pinpoint your problem have a jug of water ready before startup open the bonnet then startup if the noise appears pour water over the belts if noise goes away replace v belts

Hyundai Azera radio will not pickup AM dealer

Try it with the engine not running. If it works fine, the problem is RF interference. If you are using platinum spark plugs instead of the old copper resistor plugs, it can cause this.
