If you open the cargo (trunk) lid,on the right side behind the tail light you will see a carpeted access cover, just pull at the top of the cover to remove, behind that there is a felt type piece of material, pull that up and the rear fuse panel is there.on the side of the cover there should be a fuse chart.the picture for the lighter fuse's look like + sign

Lighter in my x5 does not work

The fuse for your lighter is probably blown. A web search will provide the fuse box diagram and location of your lighter fuse.

2004 BMW X5 radio only stays on for 1 min after the car is started and the lights and controls don't work (ie. can't turn it on or off, can't adjust the volume, etc.) and the lighter socket light stays on...

Check to see is the radio connection plug all the way in and also check to make sure the white wire(ground) is clean and tight on the fire wall under dash.

I would like to ask where is the fuse of the cigarette lighter located in my 05 BMW X5 3.0i, because I think the fuse busted.

On right hand drive models it is inside the glove compartment, behind a plastic cover. Left hand drive could be the same. The fuses are labeled on the cover over them

Just had the battery replaced. The 2001 BMW X5 brake and abs lights are on. Is this a Battery problem, fuse or what?

This sounds like a low-brake-fluid-pressure symptom. Check brake fluid. Next check for leaks.

More info?, let me know...
