The factory calls for every 90,000 miles. Do not exceed this as this is an "Interference Engine" and if the belt fails it will cause severe engine damage.

When should I change my timing chain or belt on a 1997 sebring xji

change timing chain when noisy and belt around 100.000klm. To do a proper job consider changing cam and crank oil seals. hydraulic belt tensioner and all idler pulleys as oil is the biggest killer of timing belts and idlers work just as hard as the belt

When to change timing belt on a 2007 chrysler sebring?

I was not sure which engine that your vehicle is equipped with. I looked at a 2.4 and 2.7 liter engine and these bolt seem to have a timing chain. This should not need the regular maintenance that the older belt models did. You should be in luck!

Have a super sunday!

How do i change the water pump on a 97 chrysler sebring V6

Depending on the engine type this is a big job, the waterpump is driven by the timing belt and you must use caution as to engine damage may ocurr, if the timing gears are not 100% aligned when installing the timing belt heres a diagram to show you what im talking about,johnjohn2_39.jpgjohnjohn2_38.gifjohnjohn2_39.gif

Replace water pump on 2001 chrysler sebring

if you have the 2.4 engine, the water pump is external and driven by the timing belt.you need a water pump - timing belt component kit. the 2.7 has a internal water pump driven by the timing chain. here again you should install a water pump- timing kit. 2.7 is more complex and expensive to change

At what mileage am I suppose to change the timing belt on my 2000 Chrysler Sebring Convertible?

Your engine should be a 2.5L V-6, Chrysler recommends timing belt replacement every 60,000, also timing belt drives the water pump, not bad idea to also replace, while in there, this is an interference engine where if timing belt fails, will cause piston to valve damage.Hope this was very helpful.

How often do i replace the timing chain 1999 chrysler sebring lxi

The belt is supposed to last for 105,000 miles. These sebring cars are notorious for breaking timing belts well before then. If your car has over 80,000 on it I would schedule a timing belt change in the near future. Don't be surprized if you have to also change the water pump.

Ignition timing for a 2004 sebring?

The ign timing is set by the computer. The crank and cam have got to be set by the timing belt, but the rest is done by the computer.

If you have "jumped" time then you will need to check/change the timing belt to fix the problem.
