My 2002 dodge ram 1500 heater blows cold air for heat on the heat setting and warm air for heat on the defrost setting.It never blows hot on the heat setting.Could this be a switch problem or heater door motor problem.

Heating and AC Temperature and Air Delivery Mode Do

When the fan motor is loud it means its out of balance. Kind of like a dishwasher.

Could a business card or two have slipped through the defrost vents ? or maybe leaves have accumulated in the fans squirrel cage.

A heater motor isn't hard to remove. Usually above your feet on the passenger side held in with 3 or 4 screws and one heavy wire.

did you try changing thermostat

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

I have the same truck, I have flushed the radiator both ways, flushed the heater core both ways flushed the engine four times, I have owned this truck for eight years and still cannot get it to heat up the cab. It will keep the windshield defrosted but that is all. If you find any tricks to fix this let me know PLEASE

I'm no 'expert' but it sounds like possibly 2 different problems. Your heat comes from warm/hot coolant circulating through the heater core, and the fan blowing air through/over it. If your thermostat is not opening the coolant won't circulate. Thermostat is a not too difficult or costly starting place. No air flow leads me to think you have a blower motor issue, perhaps start with the fuse. Hope this helps.

Sounds like blockage in the system. Power flush, test thermostat. Most probably heater core is block point.
