You must have just taken the alternator off without releasing the tension from the belt? The tensioner is built onto either the alternator itself or the power steering pump. There should be one or more bolts that need to be loosened and then you will have a bolt that loosens the tensioner bolt attached to either the alternator or power steering pump. Hope this helps, let me know if you need further assistance.
The Timing Belt Tensioner is an Aluminium colored round device with Two ears on opposing sides and is located in between the other accessories. The Black faced Idler Pulley has a Hex protrusion in the center and I think as I've not gone and looked that it's 14mm. This device is not part of the Alternator , Water Pump or anything else in there as it stands alone. There is a tool made for this that is a long flat bar with a Square Drive on the end to hold the socket or Crow Foot. When this thing is off the belt it has a stop to prevent it from unwinding its self. You simply pull it a little drop the belt over it and then move it back and it holds the belt .

It is the only pulley that pivots, it will be on a short arm, do you see it?
The Belt Tensioner is an Aluminium colored round mount with Two ears on opposing sides. The Black faced Idler Pulley has a Hex head fitting sticking out of the middle which I think is 14mm. This unit is mounted inside of the other accessories. There is a tool made for this which is a long flat wrench designed to fit in there and pull the Idler Pulley away from the belt. The Idler will stop as you release it so it is in position to move it for belt installation.
I posted a picture and description of doing this
