I have a 93 nissan Maxima. The trunk latch continually keeps popping(whether it is open or closed) and draining the battery. I have pulled the door latch off and that didn't help, tried to replace all my fuses. What can I do to make the trunk stop automaticly popping the latch and draining my battery?

    Sorry ignore that....

Try the relay. Usually a little small black box . I'm sure you know. Usually located under the hood. Check it out. Thier like 15 bucks so before you buy one try swapping it out with another cause theirs usually a few like head lights power windows etc. You know swap put the say window relay ...if it works then buy it. SOURCE: 1990 nissan maxima trunk release switch

Actually, this car has security system that prevent the trunk opened without using the master key. I often use this to lock my trunk. Just slid up the tiny lever upward to allow the trunk open from inside. the lever is on the back trunk (in the center, behind the Tail light) where the trunk door hook up with the lock system.
Cheers..

SOURCE: Nissan Altima fuel filler release latch broke ... need alternate

Never heard of anything like that.  But those latches are not as secure as most think, just take a flathead screwdriver, put a piece of cloth around it to protect your paint, and pry the door open, just when you think it's about to break something...pop, it opens just like that.  I've done this quite a few times, only broke one so far.  :-P

SOURCE: key fob no longer unlocks car doors or trunk

you may have to replace the remotes and then have them reprogramed for the car because they do go bad but if there is an autozone near you they will test the remotes for free

SOURCE: Passenger side door will not open from inside or outside.

linkage on inside of door has come undone. take off inside door panel and you will find a small rod that goes to the lock mechanism where the door closes opposite the hinges. follow the handle to the door lock.the nylon bushing may have broken.they are cheap to purchase at auto part stores.

SOURCE: Driver side window stuck on Nissan Maxima 2004

It is likely the window motor is wearing out and will need to be replaced. You can always try a different switch on those wires to rule out switch problem. Otherwise, the motor will have to be replaced.

My cars driver door wont close. dont kno if its the door hinge or the bolt but i cant get the door to close and because of that it keeps draining the battery. and its pretty dangerous driving

There are some jaws,on he door latch, make sure the door is unlocked, and pull the jaws open, while pulling on the door handle like you are going to open it,the jaws on the door latch should release and open, then try and shut the door closed.

How do I open the trunk of a 1991 Nissan Maxima?

Two ways...#1, naturally the key. the second way this, the 1991 Maxima has a lever on the left side of the drivers side seat at floor level. Simply pull up on the lever and it should pop your trunk. Goood Luck! I hope you find this very helpful!

My drivers side door on my Nissan Maxima 2004 SL will not close. I've tried everything to no avail!! Please advise. Tried lubricant on door latch but will not engage!! Very frustrating- night light on...

Ok, if you have not slammed the door too hard and you are having a latch problem you need to gather a few things. This works better with two people if you have help. Take a screwdriver and place it in the middle of the latch on the door (where you would expect the bar the latch attaches to on the car would be if the door was shut). Have you other person pull the door handle as if they were opening the door, this will release the door latch itself. As they are pulling the handle, pull the screwdriver towards the inside of the door releasing the latch. I know I have a hard time explaining this method without being able to show you, but this is what you need to do.

Truck will not close and battery keeps draining

Ok, you have an auto trunk opener/pulldown. The battery is dead and you opened the trunk with key. SO, now here is what happened. The trunk pulldown motor and latch did not go up as it normally does, in order to catch the the trunk lid as you close it. Connect a battery charger to the battery or put jumper cables on with another car. It should raise. If not flip the little lever on the BLACK switch near pull down latch.
