I have a 2004 Suzuki Forenza. The wipers work sometimes and then don't work. Then one arm will work and then stop working. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Any idea what I should check?

SCAN IT YET?
did RPM stop when scanned.
did you get DTCs errors for VSS sensor
im sure the panel has not lost power, or you'd know that. (other things dead?)
Squealing noises are more apt to be from belts, not mechanical parts. It doesn't necessarily have to be "a belt" per se, as the noise could, in part, be caused by an idler pulley. Open the hood and try to locate the sound. FYI I have posted the complete 2004 Forenza Service manual on FIXYA. Do a site search with those key words.
redrawn
i do not understand this.
post a full question,
name what part of car you are working, Ok Ignition.
what are the symptoms?
what is failing.
what does redrawn mean?
Most wipers are replaced with the entire blade and holder assembly, and many no longer facilitate blade itself replacement. It is worth it, as the arm and spring wear, over time.
The entire blade and holder easily separate from the arm and the new one clicks right in.
first and foremost, check that all your fuses are good. If they are, your next step would be to pull the winshield washer motor out and test it by applying 12 volts from the battery directly to the motor to see if it turns on. if it works then your problem is in the wiring, check that you are getting power to the harness when you turn it on. Now, if the motor does not work while applying battery power, then you need a new washer motor.
Call the dealer. I had an 05 and the daytime running lights stopped working the my low beams stopped. There was a recall, BUT they never sent out notices. I found out by doing a google search.
