SOURCE: engine runs fine most of time then once in a while

It is best that you make a scanner to see if it gives you some code and do not keep changing parts for pleasure I recommend that if you measure the pressure of the gas pump when you feel the decision would be good for my doubts. Thanks

2002 suburban 2500 hesitation backfires intermintly

Check for error codes (DTCs) before going any further. Sounds like a fuel problem (fuel pump, injectors, etc.) which may have been affected by bad gas. Try a good fuel additive (cleaner) as well.

I bought a 89 ford bronco it will back fire through the fuel injection when you give it gas but not all the time

sounds like it is running lean. Check engine light on?

You mean backfiring through the intake manifold right?

A tip in hesitation or backfire is usually a lean condition. If you have a MAF sensor, clean the inside exposed wires with carb cleaner. Do no touch.

Car idles fine but will not go over 2000 rpm's when the gas pedal is pressed. Lots of hesitation and some backfiring when gas pedal is pressed.

We need to know more about what car and engine you have, but the primary suspect is that the timing belt has slipped and things are out of time.

Hesitation and backfiring when accelerating

there will be codes stored so the scanner in use has not got the right protocols to read the ECM
Nissan products have to be set using a screw in the ECM to get to read the codes
you have to be specific with make , model , year , type of equipment to get closer

Fuel problem

first i would cover the basics. change the fuel filter, next change the spark plugs, careful this car takes special spark plugs. probably have to get from toyota. next clean the throttle body, pull air nozzle off and open the butterfly so you can spray throttle body cleaner in their and clean with toothbrush. also dont be alarmed after cleaning the throttle body and changing the fuel filter it will be hard starting, hold the gas pedal half way.

Hesitation

Check your ignition leads for spark or shorts. In dim light you will see the spark jumping where there is a short. Don't put your fingers near the leads when running. Bit of a nasty. If you have a timing light just hook up each lead one ata time to check for flash from the strobe.

Hope this helps
