My 2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan will only start from a jump. It runs after cables disconnected but runs hot shortly after. If I switch it off it will not restart. Any idea what might be the problem?

Either a weak starter or battery is causing the start issue. As for running hot, not a related problem.

2002 Chrysler concord alt light came on battery went dead car died jump it, started died when took off jump cables replace battery , cleaned conections starts up alt light out left set overnight sart

Replace the alternator.

I think it would start by having the battery load tested or if its the original battery it's probably due for replacement.

My 2002 chrysler sebring 2.4L will not start turn key and hear no clicking noise nothing at all, lights and horn work , when i jumped the battery it did nothing no clicking. what should i try next?

Check if you have power at the starter from the ignition key
Try give direct power to the starter, if still not starts, you have a bad starter

sounds like a bad connection at or from the battery. If the battery is dirty,clean it and the terminals, provided the battery is good. How did you check the battery and the alternator?

Obviously your battery needs acid soln to work. Give it for recharging & if the plates are still good it will work else replace it.

Car wont start. replaced battery and it died when i got it home. then replaced alternator. turned out the original was still good. jumped it and it went dead once i turned it of. please help.

check owners manual for blown alt fuse

get your batterie and alternator tested at your local part store. parts do not have to be out of car for you to test them

2002 Chrysler Sebring Convert wont turnover

If you're not hearing a click from the starter check for a starter relay. May be burned out! DO you hear the fuel pump kick in when you turn the key on? If not something might have triggered your security system and locked you out!

Clicking??? Probably starter/alternator. does the starter turn? The clicking, is that all you get when you turn the key? Have the battery checked and make sure its holding a charge. If battery holds a charge, its time to have your alternator tested, if the alternator checks, then the clicking may be the starter/soleniod. Places like autozone will check the battery/alt for free, provided you can still drive to get there.
