Car broken into. Took it to chrysler dealership because, the steering column was broaken and convertible top was cut. Fog light was on the multifunction switch before they replace it with a used one. The switch they replace on my 2003 sebring convertible v6-2.7L VIN T FFV. after I had got it home that night I tried to turn on my fog lights and I keep trying, but could not pull the end of the lever out. I discovered it was not the same lever that was on my car before I took it to the Chrysler Dealership. What should I do?

Call the manager of the dealership and demand answers tell him your unhappy and tell him you will contact chrysler re this problem if its not rectified . ok good luk

There is a short circuit within your steering column and the copper rod that is linked to the horn and the circular strip on steering wheel are now in contact. Remove steering wheel and check there is the spring on the inner part that is either not harnessed well or has broken into pieces and hence the contact.
Thats not a factory alarm that aftermarket. go under the steering column and remove the whole alarm set up. or better yet find a relay that is attach to the starter signal (match the color) and restore how it used to be then you should be able to crank the car , if you sucessfull have bypass the alarm then go ahead and look for its ground and just cut it. The aftermarket cuts into the ignition switch starter signal so that is where you locate the starter relay alarm.
The reason you need a new steering column, is that part is made into the steering column, and is not servicable by it self. You may be able to find a used one at a salvage yard and transfer some of your parts to it. That would be your cheapest route.
On the steering column. There is the yoke to twist to turn on the head lights. Well on that same yoke, underneath the buttom side facing the dash, look for a little lever, or on some a tiny sliter. Tun on the headlights first, then move the lever. This will turn on the fpg lamps. They will not come on without the headlights on.
