I would suspect the fuse if both lights were out.

and cluster back bulbs .... remove front panel cluster and remove headlight switch look for burn wire or connector terminal. test light

There is either a short in the wiring or the module which is located behind dash.

I would replace the complete A/C compressor,

places to look, in the trunk, behind the bumper or up behind the back wheel

look in your trunk there should be a cover on the back of your tail lights in the trunk. Look under it

Dash lights are tied in to the tail lights, that way you know when the tails lights quit because the dash lights go out. Find the fuse and check it. There's a fuse diagram in the owner's manual. My problem was not a fuse; it was in the elctric regulator (or something like that), which my mechanic had to replace -- about $250 for the part, another $200+ for labor.
