How do you change the time on the clock in a 2001 BMW 325i. The manual does not say and my clock is running 8 minutes behind.

disconnect the positive wire on the battery for about 15 minutes an put it back on to see if that rests it

iac valve ( idle air control valve) its located on the throttle body, and timing belt, that year does not have a timing belt, good luck.

Hi, I had an E30 325i and the jack and wheel brace were behind the boot panel opposite the battery.

hello jsosa, if I remember correctly, you need to turn and hold the right button on the instrument cluster. the button only turns a little and has a detent.

on the instrument cluster you have 2 knobs. turn and hold the one on the right after having the clock displayed in the cluster.

  your car has double squirrel cage fan.  Odds are it is not the fuse.  The brushes wear out in motor  and it does not make contact causing it not to work.  Try this.  Open hood on firewall behind intake(aluminum part where it says bmw) the fire wall has bolts in it. The fan access is behind there.  First i would try hitting that area a hammer to try to bounce the contacts of the blower motor.  Do this while the fan is in the on position.  If that does not work remove the screws and the fan is behind there.  There is a resistor and a motor behind there.  A giant clip holds it in.  You have to be inclined to change it

from ignition key position 1 , the right hand side trip button on your speedo shut be twisted right to advance the time,the longer you hold it ,the faster it will go,when desired time is reached, press the button inwards to set, switch off ignition and press the button,the time should display for few seconds.

It needs a new fan control. $80 online and 20min. labor. I just replaced mine in the same car.
