I have a 1997 Jimmy,I need to replace the window rollers, does anyone know if the replacement rollers replace the riveted ones that are stock? And do they just bolt on where the original ones are and then onto the track...any help would be great thanks.

How do i replace left window switch on a 1997 chevrolet lumnia

the actual switch to roll your window up, or is it the window motor? window switch is easy. all you have to do is remove door panel and disconnect the connector from the switch and pop it out of the panel and install the new one. window motor, you have to remove panel and there is a metal frame on inside the door that is sometimes riveted. if that's the case, you may need to rivet it after you pop the rivets. or some make a hole around the motor specifically there to replace the motor. shouldn't be a bad job. all you have to do is get in there and see what you got. not that hard of a job.

How hard is it to replacing motor for power windows

Replacing the motor itself isn't too difficult. you simply drill out the rivets that hold the old motor in place and remove the motor. Putting it back in is more difficult as you'll need small nuts and bolts that will allow the window to move without catching on them. I tried to find rivets and a rivet gun that were big enough, but never did, so I had to resort to the nut and bolt method to hold the motor back on the bracket. Be careful when you try it out the first time, the nut or bolt may stick out too much and you can break the window when rolling it down.

Liftgate not opening

I am assuming you have a two piece liftgate - correct? If so, pressing the button to open the window part actuates an endgate window release solenoid which disengages the catch, and it sounds like the solenoid is stuck. To repair this, you need to open the entire liftgate, and remove the inside trim panel to get at the solenoid. You can then try manually moving the actuator arm while lubricating the moving parts, and if that doesn't work you will need to replace the solenoid. This will require you to drill out the rivets and replace them after installing the new solenoid..

How do you replace a upper ball joint assembly on a 2000 gmc jimmy

You would need to take the suspension apart carefully because the spring/torsion bar has tension on it. The factory upper ball joints are riveted so you will need something to cut the rivets off. The aftermarket joints simply just bolt in.

I have a 1997 ford f150 and cant figure out how to get the window motor out... i took the door skin off and it looks like its been rivited? i need to know how to take it out and replace it?

It's common for these to be riveted. You'll need to drill out the rivets, and, on the new motor, use either screws or pop rivets to reattach (do you have a pop rivet gun?).
