The radio fuse should be in under dash fuse panel, usually on driver side. Also some fuses under hood in plastic box but they are high current. Owner manual will have a chart.

SOURCE: radio's display won't light up

The radios in the 2000 Mountaineer are notorious to short out. You simply have to get a new one. Believe me. I had the same problem.

Dvd system in 2008 mercury mountainer not working

hello, does your radio still work? have you carried out any recent work, esp electrically oriented? as it could simply be a fuse,or a thermal cut out, have a look in your owners guide book, and see where the locations of the various fuses and thermal cut out's are,and replace them as necessary, there are also fuses on the back of the radio/dvd ,which you may need assistance removing the items from their position,to gain access. hope that helps, cheers.

I have a 2004 mercury mountaineer the windows will not roll up or roll down, and the radio does not work is it a fuse?

A bad fuse is Highly possible the cause. The mountaineer has a Main fuse box under the hood that contains Master fuses that control multiole items with one fuse. There is also a smaller fuse panel under the dash conatining fuses for various items throughout the vehicle.
