Without any codes listed, My engine stalls coming up to stop light, worse with A/C or heater on. I've seen a lot of guesses on this but have not seen a cure yet?? Could it be a Mass Air Flow Sensor???

mass air flow sensor would send a code. check the fuel regulator for right pressure low fuel pressure can make the engine stall. also check for an air leak and blocked air vent for the sump.

My 1997 charade starts to stall when the engine heats up, (after about 8 minutes of driving) when I have to slow down to turn a corner etc. It always starts straight away again but continues to stop...

I had this problem once, albeit on a different vehicle. Try disconnecting the air filter trunking from the throttle block, see what the inside of the throttle block looks like. If it is all black and oily clean it all out thoroughly with a rag or strong tissue, there is a small by-pass drilling in this body which can get blocked.

I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt and I have read several posts that sound like the problem I am having. My car runs fine then the engine will start surging--the RPM guage will swing wildly from 500-2000 while...

i have an 06 cobalt with the same issue and when my engine light finally came on it showed up as evap system malfunctioning. This is for the emissions system. My code shown was P0440. This can be caused by a faulty or loose gas cap, a purge valve, a vent valve, or the evap canister. I am waiting on the purge valve to arrive now so should know if that takes car of mine in a week, but i have already replaced my gas cap and the problem is still there. Hope this helps you some

2001 Chrysler Concorde LXI randomly stalling while slowly dow to stop or turn. Will usually crank back. This car will sit and idle for ever, but when you drive it for 10-15 minutes and slow down to stop or...

One suggestion:
Speed sensor failure.

Info:
Some of the classic symptoms, stalling at dead stops. failure to auto lock doors. poor fuel economy. Failure to go to overdrive.

Recommendation:
Go to your local parts store and run the failure codes.

Shop notes:
Your ECU thinks that the engine is running with out moving, During slow down the engine steps down the idle to match ground speed and as a result the engine will not stall. At present it goes directly to idle and stalls due to drag on motor.
Hope this tip helps.
