Maintenance required light could mean its time for an oil change. Do you have a check engine light too ?
The battery/brake light can mean the brake fluid is low or the battery is not being charged by the alternator.

At 40,000 miles there is a "Required Service"

Hi.

The light means that the maintenance interval is over and that service is required. The procedure to turns off the light is reported on the owners manual but you are strongly advised to do service at intervals prescribed by manufacturer. Service will consist in oil change, fluids change, filters and general inspection.

Here the general procedure to reset service light.

1. Turn the ignition key to the 'OFF' position with the trip meter A reading shown.

2. Turn the ignition key to the 'ON' position while holding down the trip meter 'RESET' button.

Hold down the knob for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates '000000' and the light goes off.

Perform service as soon as possible.

Regards.

The "maintenance required" light came

It's just a mileage-triggered light that reminds you to perform routine maintenance on your vehicle. It can be reset. Instructions to reset should be found in your owners manual or on Youtube.

How to reset warning lights

Welcome to FIxYa.com

Oil Change light:

To reset the "CHANGE OIL" light, turn the ignition switch to the run position with the engine off. Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal three times within 5 seconds. The light will flash twice and go out.

Maintenance warning light? MIL? Check engine? Maintenance Required?

You will have to go to Auto Zone to have the code read and then fix the code problem and then clear code with code reader
