Question about 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

I just bauth a 2005 colorado 4 dr. with a 5 cyl engine i am realy disapointed with the gas milage they advertise it as getting about 18 in city and 20 on highway i get 15 all around.

It probably needs a service and tune-up. Remember too that a used vehicle will not get the gas mileage that is advertised for a new vehicle.

Ran out of gas in 2003 trailblazer runs rough ever since and poor fuel milage


I show a fuel filter for the 8 cyl engine so I assume there is one for the 6 cyl too. Around 2004 or 2005 GM stopped using replaceable filters.
I would start with replacing the filter and running a few cans of injector cleaner thru the gas. You may have picked up some dirt from the bottom of the tank.

Sounds like it has a hard miss. Any engine codes? more info is needed there are a lot of things that could be wrong.

they are down the center of valve cover you will have to remove coil packs to get too them.
