Look around the car on each door, you will see a small black switch on which the door shuts on. This switch when open brings on the light and bell. Go around and check by pushing each one of these in. This should stop the light/chime. It works on what is called an open circuit, if you check each of the sensors and the problem persists, then one of the sensors may be faulty or their is a broken wire somewhere in the circuit. For the mean time to stop your battery going flat, remove the interior light globe.

Testimonial: "Thank you--I think I see which sensor is loose--now I just need to figure out what to do about it."

I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla XRS. It has an Alpine SEC-100s or SEC-150R security system. I'm not sure which it is, this is what is on the front of the owner's manual. I need to know how to disarm...

Locate the device that is attached to the trunk to detect opening and move it away from the door so that it is not activated. Or if it is a normally closed switch then just jump the wire going to it so it is always closed.

2005 Freestar "door open signal"

Chances are the autolock doesn't work because it "sees" a door open. Check the plunger between the door and the frame of each door to see if the plunger is broken, bent, or otherwise not working.
