After so many miles the maintenance light will come on. It usually means its time for service which includes oil change and filter. If service has already been performed then the light needs to be reset. You can have your mechanic reset it or you can go to eHow website and type in "How to reset a 2007 Toyota Corolla maintenance light". and follow the directions. Good luck!

Maintanence required light

A maintenance required light means some type of maintenance is required on your car. It wont clear until the maintenance is done. Unfortunately you will probably have take it to a dealer for repair and clearing the code.
tip

How to get rid of maintenance light

To remove the "maintenance needed" light from your dash display:
1.) Insert the key into the ignition
2.) Hold the "odometer reset" button on the dash
3.) Turn the key to the "on" position DON"T START VEHICLE and wait for the dashes/hyphens to countdown, and then "zeros" will flash
4.) Release the "odometer reset" button, and start your car.

Maintenance light should be gone after this is complete. For future reference, this will work everytime. If you have any cases where is doesn't work, you must have performed it incorrectly. The "maintanence" light is generic and only runs on a timer, and your service provider is suppose to reset it after they perform maintanence

I have a 2001 honda odyssey and the maintnace light is on what that means is van no good no more

the maintanance light can mean a variety of things from the gas cap not being on all the way to a bad spark plug the only way to tell what it means is to take it to a shop or a auto parts store and have them read the code or codes stored on the computer.

1999 pontiac grand prix service engine light soon is on, what does it mean ?

The service engine soon light is an indicator /reminder for you to do some type of maintanence work on your vehicle, depending upon your mileage that you have accumulated on your car dictates the sort of maintanence needed on the car.
Can either be as simple as an oil change or as complicated as a major service/tuneup, oil change, transmission change, wheel alignment, brake inspect, tire rotation etc.
Once the work is performed the technician must turn off the light.
Reference the dealership or reliable repair shop for further information.

How to replace a fuel filter on a 2007 4runner

It's the new age of car design. As building tolerances become greater, engine/drivetrains become more efficient, and lubricants (ie synthetics) improve in wear properties, maintanance has been greatly extended on modern cars. Just follow your maintanance schedules (mostly oil and filters) and you'll be fine.

Hello, I have a 2002 honda civic ex. When I turn the key on I get the maintanence required light. after the engine starts the light blinks 10 times and then goes out. I couldn't find any guidance in the...

First, make sure you are talking about your mainanence required light, and not your check engine light.
Your maintanence required light is telling you that some normal maintanence is required since you have traveled some pre-determined number of miles (pre-determined by Honda). For example, it could mean an oil change should take place, etc. If you keep track of those things on your own, then you need only reset the light, as follows:
Turn off the engine.
Press and hold the Select/Reset knob (odometer) in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch just to ON (II). Do not start the car.
Hold the knob for approximately ten seconds until the indicator resets.
Hope this helps you.
