Have you ever serviced it? it may be a mechanical fault causing the smoke but I would remove the plugs and check them first. you can buy a cheap compression tester from any auto store including halfords to test compression your self. if all that's ok you may have a head gasket problem but take it to a garage for confirmation if you aren't sure.;

put an additional petrol pump in the fuel line ,they cost about150€ from the bosch agent ,connect in line and splice the feed from the pump in the tank ,that will cure it ,these cars suffer from a dodgy connection in the feed wires to the pump in the tank,they corrode and get hot in the connector head of the unit .An additional pump releaves some of the load and will keep it going evan if the one in the tank plays up .

there should be a key switch inside the car somewhere you need to turn it to the off position with the ignition key

hi ive a peugeot 206cc 02 reg, the STOP light keeps flashing ive checked the normal oil and water but alls ok so whats the problem still runs fine and temp stays where it should??? any tips??

there are three likely problems.... check the battery of the vehicle if the battery is still ok, or the alternator is not supplying the right power and finally the fuse box has some burnt part in it internally...
