1. Disconnect the battery from car terminals.
2. Remove the alternator drive serpentine belt.

3. Disconnect electrical connection wires of the alternator.
4. Remove the alternator fixation bolts.
5. Remove the alternator out from the engine.
6. Install all in reverse order of the alternator removal.
Yes, you have to drop the engine to get out the alternator. This is only way to remove it.
It is perfectly possible, if somewhat difficult to remove the alternator from a 2003 doblo without dropping the engine. Remove the two mounting bolts. Take care not to lose the spacer on the top bolt. Disconnect the electrical connector.This is helped by disconnecting the power steering hoses. The alternator can be dropped by levering the engine forward by a few millimeters.

to get the alternator out .you have to drop the engine to get at the alternator ,it no way to get it out there does nt seem to be any other way,thought you had a way.
it seems diesel pump and power steering pump have to be removed to get to top bolt for alternator
