Comon for fans to die on Peugeots of this age,check fan speeds with everything else off. Otherwise an air block stopping water getting to heater. Bleed water system
Firstly fit a manual overide to the heater plugs .relay -push button type switch -wire -connectors ,run a wire direct from battery to relay ,other side to heater plug relay output so it feeds all the heaters ,push button inside cab with a 12v feed from ignition switch running to relay then other side of relay to earth ,leave vehicle on charge often on trickle charge where possible ,also on a full tank of diesel put in a litre of petrol to stop diesel waxing up ,nice old rug or blanket over engine and it will first time every time ,only use the petrol when weather below minus 5c though ,great vehicles these peugeots but i do like my ford transit
most cars need a reset when being worked on even as simple as changeing the battery find fuse box look for fuse Labled (hazard or HZD) remove for 15.sec. then put back in it should reset the ECU
temperature sender unit top of engine cylinder head make sure its okay
and make sure wire going to it is not grounding
if it grounds or earths it will send the gauge up and down
try to give power srait to the fans if they work then it is a sensor problem...also try to find the sensor and un plug it and give power to the harnes if the fans go on the it really is the sensor
hi, had same problem twice with my 98 expert , first time it was heater control board(the slider sends a varying voltage thru the thin green wire at the motor plug, to a semi conductor encased in an ally heatsink when checking motor operation check thick red wire for 12v, and thin green for 1.5-4.5v, depnding on slider movement, and thick green for earth conn) , second fault was overheated conns both at motor conn and at relay(mine was bright green cased one behind glovebox), Terry

window wipers off remove trim and there is 10 mm nuts, remove them, remove speedo cluster and radio etc, there is 2 10mm bolts below each end in footwells at end bottom of dash, 1 bolt below your ash tray in front of gearstick, u got to get gear stick surround out.
