They just started to come on, sometimes the abs will come on then I will shut the car off restart and it will go out same way with the engine light?
I have the same car, same problem and I've been doing some research. It seems to be that the most common problem is a faulty ABS sensor that causes the car to go into "Limp Home Mode". Limp Home Mode is automatically initialized when the car senses that it has some sort of electrical or mechanical issue. This is most likely what your experiencing, because I, and many other X-type owners are as well. Good Luck.

Pulsing of Brake Pedal is Usualy Caused by Rotor RUNOUT Meaning Hot Spot on Rotor -<a thicker spot on rotor , The FIX is replacing rotors

If you are absolutely sure that the all the abs sensors are good. Then the only other factors are the abs unit itself and the abs computer. Please have the system checked with a a scanner to make sure. Remember the only way to an ABS light will reset is by driving the vehicle and if every component of the system is fine the light will go out. Because your light is on there is a problem in the system and your abs is not functioning when the light is ON .Good Luck

Do you mean the van is actually braking like a Starsky and Hutch move or that the warning lights indicate that they are on? If its lights then you may be low on brake fluid. Maybe a module leak

You can check out what the trouble code is by pushing and holding the information button and the up arrow (right side of instrument cluster above the radio) until all the instrument clusters light. Press the information button (last) to enter test mode. I've had an error C1234, meaning Left rear wheel sensor fault. I found the problem to be a corroded connector under the chasis just under the rear left door about 2 feet in. I had to by-pass (replace 1 wire due to corrosion at the connector.
SOURCE: Ford Focus ... ABS light came on and car slowly shut down
Today while driving my 2007 Ford Focus SE The day was getting warm so I turned on the A/C everything was working OK for about two or three Minutes then the ABS caution light came on and then we could start smelling something getting hot so I turned the A/C Off and by doing so the Caution Light went off and the smell went away. I got my car checked by a Mechanic he took a reading for trouble codes and told me all was normal but he wasn't equip for shorts and suspected it could be behind the dash, figured everything would be ok as long as we didn't use the A/C. So the family took the car to the store only to give me a call that now they weren't able to start the car. The battery seem to be in good shape with plenty of power but it didn't seem it was getting it to the starter in fact it took a jump in order to start the car at the store. now that I've got it home, the car starts fine but I Still Get An ABS caution light when I put the A/C on And that smell comes back.

I have a 2.5 sport x type and the abs light came on, then 100 miles down the road the engine management light has come on so it must be a electrical problem. well i hope anyway??
Same problem (check engine light or abs light - or both) comes on. Eventually it goes off. Doesn't seem to have any effect . . .
