Have recently replaced the Clutch Kit on a Peugeot 206 model is 2005. The car is running but goes into third gear instead of first gear at times. It seems as if the linkages are not pushing far enough. Can I set it? What is the cause. How do I repair.

Check to see that none of the gear linkages have been bent or misaligned. Check for wear in the gear linkage joints and also in the gear lever attachment point.

sounds like the trust bearing has not been installed this fits on the fork in the clutch house that engages the clutch to release so gears can be changed, if its not locked in place it will not catch the clutch and is probably sitting in the bottom of the clutch housing.

Peugeot 206 NEW clutch pressure and clutch plates were replaced including the bearing. Clutch is making a rattling noise but not when pedal is down. Having difficulty getting into 1st and 2nd gears....

its likley to be the clutch center plate cush springs are loos and the center plate is warped so wnen you try to get into gear the clutch is draging the gear box around,,,bipping the clutch stops the clutch spinning so no noise! all you can do is strip the lot down again and fine the fault and fix it

Hi, peugeot 206 clutch/engine problem..

It seems like the clutch pressure plate has given in. Best would be to replace the clutch pro-kit.( Clutch pressure plate, clutch plate and release bearing)

Peugeot 206

Haven't had this problem in my 206, the only reason I can think of the motor stopping after you brake is because you haven't changed gear aswell? For example, stopping from 30 at traffic lights and not depressing the clutch will eventually stall the engine.
