Cd player takes cd the releases with ERR showing on the display

I have tried many different cd's in the player and everytime it spits the cd out and the display reads ERR. Please help.

    same happens to me, except that it started happening AFTER I used a cd cleanser. it was playing fine and now it just spits everything out. Help!

I had this problem. I went to an electronics store and purchased a cd cleaning kit, complete with cleaning solution. I used it twice and haven't had any other problems.

I am having the same problem. Can somone say how to open the cd Player so I can clean it.

Open cd player.clean lens with cotten.your problem will be solved forever.had same problem.

Try a different CD, the CD could be scratched or defective. the CD player could have dust in it ,try a CD player cleaner.which is a CD with a brush that cleans the dust of the CD reader

My radio wont play Cd's. Everytime I put in a cd,
Your CD player's lens is not working, meaning either if you can open it and change the lens or install a new stereo, see which solution is cheaper.( you can find stereos for around $35) . Good Luck

CD player says error and spits discs back out repeatedly
If cleaning didn't help,then replacing is the way to go.You can go to a local stereo shop and see if they can fix it easily.they might know the trick on doing it.It's worth a try.Don't go to Best buy.I know you have seen one as you were driving around town,just pull in and see what's up,They may have fixed one as the same as your Nissan.

it is bad you need to go to your nearest junkyard and get a used one. had many go bad on stratus,sebrings,intrepids,neon they all take the same one in 2000 all the way to 2005 or 2006

This is not a fuse problem, it may be a dirty laser lens or a broken loading mechanism, buy a CD player cleaner disk, if that won't work you will have to pull the unit out and send it in for repair at an authorized GM electronics repair station.
