Why would you want to put a head gasket on one. They hardly ever go bad on a 3800 engine. Worked at a buick dealer for many years and only have seen one that was leaking but it was not original gasket. Tell me the symptoms and I will guide you through it. Super charged motor or not? Please reply

Head gasket repair w/1990 Buick riviera manual did no download?

Never have seen a bad factory head gasket on a 3800. THe intake will leak water into the oil though.

Need to replace supercharged engine and trans. in a 96 Riviera

Faster and safer to drop the whole unit from the bottom with the cradle. Replace the supercharger snout bearing and seal before you install the replacement engine and the supercharger belt. Also replace the boost valve to your transmission just to ensure your getting the proper transmission line pressure throughout your transmission.

NEED INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO FIX HEAD GASKET

You can purchase one at an autoparts store for about $20 - $25 or on ebay for $10. A haynes or chilton manual will give you step by step instructions. If you've never done this before you are looking at about 2 - 4 days of work and make sure to GET THE HEAD(S) RESURFACED. Don't try to save money by skipping this step doing so will make you do the whole thing over again.

My 97 Riviera is Overheating

Head gasket is gone...don't forget to have the head checked for cracks and warpage before putting it back on. Check it over for leaks to see if anything else needs repair before driving it again.

I have a 1998 Buick riviera 3.8 ltr v6 w/supercharger and I am leaking coolant from a connection that I have no knowledge of underneath the supercharger close to the tensioner can someone please tell me...

You have a blown Head Gasket. Stop driving the car. Only drive the car in EMERGENCYS. You need to check your oil to make sure that you are not mixing antifreeze with oil. If you are, you need to flush the engine and change all of your seals. A head gasket set costs about 75 bucks. But to hire someone to do it is expensive. It might cost you about eight hundred bucks to get and experienced person to change your head gasket. If you want to know how to do this, shoot me an email @ [email protected]. I can explain to you how to do it.
