Hi

sounds like an air system fault, most likely the air mass sensor. I had this car some time ago and the air pipes are very prone to ripping on the underside where you cannot see, this causes the same fault also poor idle, jerking when hard on the accelerator etc.

Check all the air pipes ensure that they all have a good seal and are not taking in too much air. then clean the air mass sensor "maf" sensor with carburetter cleaner.

This should resolve it, if not then you may need a new air sensor.

Could becaused by a few different thing's . Map sensor , idle air control valve , a vacuum leak . Having the vehicle's scan data viewed would probably pin point the problem . Do you know what scan data is ? Is what a professional tech uses to find problems .

yes try getting the fuel pump pressure tested by a mechanic. the other thing it can be is the injectors are plugged try running some lucas fuel system cleaner.

If this is idleing with the ac on then the idle up speed may require adjustment. not a good practice to leave any vehicle idling with ac on unless idle up control is set high enough to compensate for this practice. can be annoying to drive if set up too high

Do you have a place where they can check the engine for contamination? Mine had a similar problem it would die after slowing down at the junction, Ask your mechanic to clean the engine and also check the throttle sensor and it will be good as new.

This is a typical vacuum leak. Check all the hoses. If none are sucking air then use WD40 and spray around the intake manifold. If the engine runs better or changes how it runs then look at replacing the intake manifold gasket.

I'd pull IAC , (idle air control) motor off and clean it as well as hole it comes out of with throttle body cleaner, especially pintle (pointed part ) of IAC motor. Re-install it & see if it solves problem. If it does & starts to do it again in future, replace it.
