This is impossible to tell without seeing the vehicle, but check to be sure your sepentine belt is still intact and turning the alternater and the water pump. I've seen these go out b4, and these symptoms seem consistent with the belt not driving it's components, overheating (the water pump not being turned) and lack of electrical poiwer( the alternater not being turned). Good luck and contact me if you are still having problems. We will try our best to help you solve this!

I have a 1994 GMC Suburban that when I come to a stop light or stop sign the RPM's drop too low it stalls my truck out and then when I turn the heater on it automatically kills my truck I have replaced...

Sounds like the aircon is kicking in when you turn on your heater. This will load up an idling engine, and if it is idling too slowly is will stall out the engine. Try increasing your engine idle speed until the heater on function doesn't stall the engine at idle speed.

My car makes a pressure cooker noise when it accelerates

A car engine is bound to make noises. After all, there are so many moving components and parts inside of an engine as it is running. Most of these noises are not very loud and they are nothing to worry about. But there are times when engine noises will sound a bit unusual or strange.

A good example of this is when there is a ticking noise coming from the engine. A ticking sound could be caused by any number of reasons, such as a low level of oil or loose components.

You may hear a ticking, clicking, or tapping noise while the vehicle is idling, accelerating, or even after receiving an oil change. To understand what the actual problem is, you must understand the signs to look out for.

When it idles there is no heat but when I start to drive I get lots of heat

Make sure your engine coolant reservoir Is full. If it is low, When the engine is Idling there is not enough water pump force to push coolant up to the heater core. if the reservoir is low check car for coolant leaks.

Hi,

The overheating and lack of cabin heat both point to a failed engine thermostat which would be stuck closed. At the warm up stage, the coolant stays in the engine block to bring the engine to efficient operating temperature, then it opens and circulates the coolant through the radiator and heat core. If the thermostat is stuck closed, the engine will overheat, and coolant will never reach the heater core, and you will not get cabin heat.

Blinking oil light at idle which goes away during driving could be a low oil level, but may also be a drop in oil pressue. You could have a clogged oil fliter (at best) pickup tube, or a failing oil pump.

I am having heater issues.... it works great driving down the road but when im idling the heat turns to cold. after giving it some gas for a few seconds the heat comes back but after about 10 seconds of...

There could be several causes for this.
The first thing I would check is to make certain that the coolant level if filled properly. Low coolant levels can contribute to this, at idle the coolant will not be circulating properly leading to not enough coolant going to the heater core.

Secondly, either your heater core or radiator may have slowly over time become corroded and is restricting the coolants moment through the engine and as your engine gains "RPM's" the coolant is circulated faster.

There is an outside all be it small chance that the water pump maybe failing also.

I would first check to make sure there is a proper amount of coolant in the reservoir, if it is full or close to it I would then check to see how the circulation of coolant differs from idle to under engine acceleration.

2001 Dodge Caravan heater blows cold air when stopped

Have you checked the coolant level? What you describe is exactly what happens if the coolant level is low. When stopped at idle, hot coolant is not circulating through the heater core, so no heat. As the engine increases in rpm's when you pull away from the light, the water pump is spinning quicker, and some coolant is making it to the heater core. So check the level, and if it is low, keep an eye on it to see if it drops again. That of course indicates a leak somewhere. Get it fixed, as overheating the engine leads to costly repairs and worse case a new engine. Let me know how you make out with this.

No interior heat / engine overheated 97 dodge ram 1500

From your description i would say the thermostat stuck closed, no heat, running hot, boiling in resavor, thermostat bad, replace. must of got real hot to makes that kind of clunking noise, I just hope for your sake thats all it is, of course i don't know the history of the truck, but right now it sounds like thermostat. There is an outside chance it could be a head gasget, cracked head, pluged radiator, thies are all worst case sanareo.
