SOURCE: cold air all the time

one of you trampillias not working either a thin plastic pipe has come off or computer not working or a control switch so the flap is not opening up allowing the air to blow over the heater core rad .look under bonnet for a valve/solonoid with a pipe in and two or three out, sometimes this packs up which doesnt allow the vacumn through to open the actuators (trampillias)

SOURCE: heater controll doesnt work

Check your vacuum lines. Does any air blow out at all? Is it push button, or have a slide? Could also be a bad cable.

You need to check the radiator cap for air leaks and also try having the radiator Flushed as you could have plugged fins inside the radiator, causing the radiator not to cool the antifreeze.

The car was driving fine when suddenly the wind screen started fogging up. The air con was ON auto and temp set at about 22 Degs on defrost at the time. So I increased the fan speed to remove the fog. Same...

This is speculation, but the fogged windshield, the noise behind the dash, and the temperature gauge actions lead me to the heater core. When they develop any leak they fog the windshield, and enough fluid loss or an air pocket could explain the temp gauge readings.

The heater is blowing constant hot air even if you put the temp control on cold. Is this the heater blendor motor and where is it located?

it's an air door actuator and located at top right hand side of heater/vent module. basically, where the front passenger puts their feet about

2003 Ford F250, the heater does not blow hot air

check the heater temp. control pot under the hood, inline on one of your heater hoses, it may be sticking causing hot water to only get to your heater core when the engine is at high r.p.m.s

Heater temp on mercury '98 mountaineer only blows hot

Everything that is heat and cooling in a vehicle is controlled by vacuum from the engine. It appears to me that your blend door vacuum line to the temp control switch is either off or cracked/broken and not making things work the way you want/expect. It's the vacuum friend.

Ford ka heater blows hot air all the time

Taurus does not use a heater control valve. It runs coolant thru the heater core constantly. You may have a temp blend door actuator problem or a plugged up heater core is also very common. Feel the heater hoses, they should both be very hot, it one is much cooler; you can try to back flush the core.
