Engine shakes whole car

My 1999 chevy lumina shakes when put into drive and reverse. in park and nutral it seems to not do it. i have no check engine lights on. in the last month i have replased a radiator, water pump, termastat, spark plugs and wires and a cam position sensor. ive owned the car for a little over a year and have also changed a TPS and a CamPS in febuary. I need help as to why its shaking and sounding like its going to die when i come to a stop. kinda putters as i drive also

More than likely it is your engine mounts. If you have cracked or deteriorated mounts, the engine will vibrate with the symptoms you have posted.

190,000+ miles. Engine shakes while running and driving. Seems to shake less while revving and accelerating. I replaced the spark plugs. Any suggestions?

Check your engine mounts. It's an easy check. With the hood up, have a friend jump in the car and crank the engine. Look for the engine to "shake" or "jump" when he shifts the vehicle from park to reverse and back to park again.

My 1999 chev Lumina LS the engine shaking and the belts seam of centre and tight but the shaking is only at idle and not while driving it seams to settle out , it does this at lights and all stops

could be a sensor...have it scanned...sounds like the problem....and good luck.

2002 jeep grand cherokee wont reverse when in gear. hear it get into gear but wont move...

first check fluid is full by starting the engine have it blocked put in in nutral( to fill the bell houseing ) then check fluid level, more than likely you need to add fluid exspecally if your checking it in park with engine on or off park gives you a false reading on the dip stick

Problem is that it goes slow on reverse

Are you refer to put it in reverse then you have to rev the engine to get it to move?

It's a good chance that you have a leak and the transmission is low on fluid,check the fluid with the engine warm and running in park or nutral,if its low. Add the correct type of fluid through the trans dip stick tube.. .a little bit at a time until the level is in the normal range. If this does not solve the issue, the pump in the transmission may be going out.

How do I change the water pump on a 1999 Chevy Lumina 3.1 litre engine?

Remove the drive belt.
Remove the plastic cover that is over the pump.
Remove water pump pulley and housing bolts.
Reverse order to assemble.

Reverse is park, nutral is reverse, drive is nutral, and 2nd gear is drive. what is wrong?

You just need to adjust the gear shift linkage

99 chevy lumina 94k mi transmission stopped working. Fluid good.

check fluid level, make sure proper fluid is in transmission otherwise take to trans shop to diagnse if level and type is correct(check at idle normal operating temp)
