Where would i install a vacuum gauge on 1994 camaro 3.4l v6? it seems impossible to get to the fitting at the back of the motor.

you might be able to take it from the hose that goes to your brake booster as it is vacuum operated ,or anywhere else on the inlet manifold even if you have to drill a hole & tap a thread so as you can screw a fitting into.....hope this helps.....cheers

Where would i install a vacuum gauge on a 1994 3.4l v6? The fitting at the back of the motor is about impossible to get your hand in between the plenum and intake.

REMOVE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER HOSE ON THE INTAKE.BUY A SMALL PIECE OF THE SAME HOSE TO POWER BRAKE BOOSTER.PUT IN ON POWER BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM PORT AND BUY A REDUCER SO YOUR VACUUM GAUGE HOSE WILL FIT.THEN CRANK CAR UP CHECK ENGINE VACUUM.

I need to know how to rebuild the top end on my 96 camaro 3800 v6

You'll need to remove the heads. Take them to a machine shop. They will do a valve job, check the heads for cracks, check for bad valve guides and replace the valve stem seals.

generally if it is a sensor you should be able to retrieve a fault code. Other things to chek, timing, vacuum leaks, EGR. valve, fuel filter, plugged injectors, spark plug ( gap ), lead wires, distributor cap, rotor.Hope that this will help you. Good luck and remember to rate all replies you get. Thanx.
