you might be able to take it from the hose that goes to your brake booster as it is vacuum operated ,or anywhere else on the inlet manifold even if you have to drill a hole & tap a thread so as you can screw a fitting into.....hope this helps.....cheers
REMOVE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER HOSE ON THE INTAKE.BUY A SMALL PIECE OF THE SAME HOSE TO POWER BRAKE BOOSTER.PUT IN ON POWER BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM PORT AND BUY A REDUCER SO YOUR VACUUM GAUGE HOSE WILL FIT.THEN CRANK CAR UP CHECK ENGINE VACUUM.
You'll need to remove the heads. Take them to a machine shop. They will do a valve job, check the heads for cracks, check for bad valve guides and replace the valve stem seals.
generally if it is a sensor you should be able to retrieve a fault code. Other things to chek, timing, vacuum leaks, EGR. valve, fuel filter, plugged injectors, spark plug ( gap ), lead wires, distributor cap, rotor.Hope that this will help you.
