Explorer/Mountaineer and 1993-99 Ranger
See Figures 1 and 2

  1. Open the window.
  2. Unscrew the door lock knob.
  3. On Explorer/Mountaineer, remove the 2 screws retaining the trim panel located above the door handle.
  4. On Ranger, remove the two screws in the armrest and remove it.

Fig. 2: Exploded view of the Explorer and Mountaineer 4-door rear door trim panel

  1. If equipped with manual window crank handles, pull off the handle cover, then remove the attaching screw.
  2. Remove the trim cup behind (Explorer/Mountaineer) or around (Ranger) the door handle using a small prying tool. Retention nibs will flex for ease of removal.
  1. If equipped with power accessories, use the notch at the lower end of the plate and pry the plate off. Remove the plate from the trim panel and pull the wiring harness from behind the panel. Disconnect the harness from the switches.
  2. Remove any retaining screws uncovered by the removed trim pieces.
  3. Using a flat wood spatula, insert it carefully behind the panel and slide it along to find the push-pins. When you encounter a pin, pry the pin outward. Do this until all the pins are out. NEVER PULL ON THE PANEL TO REMOVE THE PINS!
  4. Lift slightly to disengage the panel from the flange at the top of the door
  1. Disconnect the door courtesy lamp and remove the panel completely. Replace any damaged or bent attaching clips.
  2. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Hope this helps (remember to rate this answer).

SOURCE: how to remove front driver side door panel (2000 ford expedition)

There is a triangular piece, at top corner, covering a screw behind the mirror. Remove that screw. Remove the piece that covers the handle and remove the screw holding the handle to the door. Look through, where door handle was and remove another screw just above where the handle was. This screw is holding the panel to the actual door. Pop the cover off for the automatic door locks and disconnect them. Lift the panel in an upward direction.

How do I remove the drivers side door handle of the Nissan Primastar to replace it?

Most door handles are fastened in place from the inside of the vehicle. You will need to remove the door card for access. There will be two nuts inside the door panel, (See photo), and a wire link to the door release mechanism. Take your time removing the nuts to avoid dropping them inside the door panel. Removing the wire link can be easier once the handle is hanging loose.

My drivers side window will not go up or down. Also, the door lock/unlock on the same side doesn't work either

Sounds like a connector is disconnected inside the driver side door. The connector is usually located near the front of the door. Removing the door panel could be a job you do not want to attempt, but the car being a 2004 you may want to try. The wiring for the door windows and locks goes through this door.

Driver side door jammed shut

Not to my knowledge. The mechanism you talk about is the wiring inside the door if it has electric locks. The only way is to remove the top of the door panel to access the door latch mechanism then slide it away from the latch. If that don't work let me know

behind the inside door handle by removing the inner cover you well find two screws remove them by the inside grab handle on the door there is a small rubber mat remove the mat on the upper right corner is a trim piece it just pops off once the screws and trim is removed use a small screw driver and go below the door panel and wedge it between the panel & door and pull back on the screw driver until you here a pop the door panel is held on by plastic clips :caution--when removing the panel DO NOT YANK ON THE DOOR PANEL. THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE IS STILL ATTACHE D TO THE DOOR PANEL. if you dont unhook this cable before removing door panel you will break the plastic end of the cable if you break this you will have to replace the cable then this well involve removing the latch because the cable is hooked inside the latch hope this helps

2000 lx 470 driver door panel

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
